Ethan M. Watts is a lawyer specializing in business law, real estate law and internet law. Mr. Watts began his legal career at the highly regarded boutique business and real estate litigation law firm of Mazzarella Caldarelli LLP. Mr. Watts then joined the San Diego office of Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP, a full-service law firm with offices accross California, before opening up his own practice. Mr. Watts has experience in business and real estate litigation, and his current practice includes business and real estate transactions and internet law related matters.
Mr. Watts earned a B.S. from Brigham Young University and a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of San Diego. While in law school, Mr. Watts was the lead articles editor for the San Diego International Law Journal. Mr. Watts also participated in the Entrepreneurship Clinic and helped entrepreneurs with legal issues such as business entity formation (corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs) and partnerships), business licensing and contract drafting, review and negotiation.
During law and business school, Mr. Watts worked as a web designer and as a law clerk in the subrogation department of the San Diego law firm Brownwood Chazen & Cannon. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of U.S.A. Volleyball. Prior to law and business school, Mr. Watts was a professional volleyball player and worked in the information technology services industry.
Mr. Watts is a member of the Business and Corporate Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court and the University of San Diego School of Business Administration Alumni Council. Mr. Watts is certified by the NFL Players Association as a Contract Advisor. Mr. Watts is admitted to practice before all California state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
